Your questions, answered

Do you offer online counselling across Australia?
Yes. I work with adults across Australia via secure online video sessions, so wherever you're based - city or regional - you can access support without needing to travel. I also work with clients internationally, with the exception of Canada and the USA.

What kind of therapy do you practice?
I draw on Gestalt therapy and Hakomi, a mindfulness-based, somatic approach. Both are experiential and relational — rather than just talking about your life, we work with what's happening for you in the present moment, including in your body, to help you understand and shift long-standing patterns. You can read more on my Therapy page.

What can you help with?
People come to see me for a wide range of things, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, family dynamics and parenting, stress and self-regulation, and life transitions.

How do I know if this approach is right for me?
The best way to find out is a free initial consultation - no pressure, just a chance to see how it feels to talk with me and ask any questions. Therapy works best when the fit feels right, so I'm always happy to have that conversation first.

How long are sessions, and how often will I need to come?
Standard sessions run 60 minutes, though longer or shorter sessions can be arranged. In our first session, we'll talk through your goals and agree on a suitable rhythm - and we'll check in on that regularly to make sure it's still working for you.

Is counselling confidential?
Yes. What you share in session stays between us, with three standard exceptions required by law and professional ethics: if there's a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, to report abuse or neglect experienced by a young person under 18, or if records are formally required by a court.
Privacy legislation applies to personal information collected and client records are securely stored for seven years. Additionally, I have an ethical obligation to participate in regular professional reflection with a clinical supervisor. In these situations, content presented is de-identified.

What is your cancellation policy?
I appreciate that sometimes life can prevent you from attending your scheduled appointment. If this is the case, you can cancel or reschedule your booking on my booking platform up to 24 hours before the appointment.  If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice there will not be a refund.

Can I claim session fees through Medicare or private health insurance?
At this time counselling cannot be claimed through Medicare, however some private Health Insurers do provide rebates on counselling - please check with your provider.

Do you offer culturally sensitive and inclusive counselling?
Yes. Clients of any nationality, sexuality or religion are welcome.

Do I need a referral to see you?
No referral is needed — you can book directly with me.

What are your qualifications?
I hold a Graduate Diploma of Gestalt Therapy, Clinical Registration with PACFA (#30440), and am listed on the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ARCAP). I completed advanced training in Hakomi Professional Training in June 2026. I continue to work part-time as a Lifeline crisis supporter.

How do online sessions work?
Sessions take place over video call, at a time that suits you, from wherever you feel comfortable and private. All you need is a stable internet connection and a quiet space.
