About Martine

IMG_4029_edited_edited_edited.jpg

Martine is a PACFA-registered Certified Practicing Psychotherapist (Advanced Clinical Training in Contemporary Gestalt Therapy), and an experienced telephone crisis support worker with Lifeline.

With more than twenty years experience in corporate communications and change management, she embarked on her own career change journey in 2016.

In 2024 she commenced further studies in the beautiful, mindfulness-centred, somatic psychotherapy of Hakomi and is currently finishing her Graduate Diploma in the relational and existential therapy of Gestalt.

Learning from compassionate and dedicated traditions continues to delight, stretch and surprise her.

Martine grew up in Sydney in the 1970s, the youngest of three. Her early years revolved around reading, piano, netball and cats. After studying journalism at university she worked as an editor for community publications, and led communication functions in two local councils. In her 40s she moved into working in change management and mental health support.

Today Martine lives on a small property in peaceful Wonnarua Country (Dungog Shire) and combines a part-time career in communications with her private therapy practice. She enjoys gardening, art, yoga and reading.
